Spring Break

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you all had a fun week. I spent time in Florida with my family. I read a few books; my favorite one was Sarah's Key. It is about the Holocaust, and although it is disturbing and hard to read, it was well written. What about you? What did you do during your break?

Mars Mission

Mission to Mars

The SS Astronuts successfully completed our Mission to Mars. We navigated the spaceshuttle to Mars, tested potentially dangerous rock samples, constructed and launched a probe, tested water and surveyed food preferences, completed medical tests on crew members, and sent messages to Mars control through our data and communications officers.! Phew!! Through it all we worked as a team, problem-solved a chemical leak, and rescued a stranded away team.
I was very proud of our efforts at the mission and also during our preparations. It was evident that the crew knew what they were doing because of the hard-work they had put in before we arrived. Here are some photos of a job well done!!

Build-Your-Own-Sundae

For our Valentine's Day party, we made our own sundaes. We had chocolate and vanilla ice-cream, whip cream, chocolate, caramel and strawberry syrup, sprinkles, chocolate chips and cherries. They were very yummy!!

Snow Day

Happy Snow Day!! What did you do today? So far I have shoveled, posted to the blog and graded some papers. Tonight I will go buy ice-cream for our build-your-own-sundae Valentine's Day party. YUM!
